Brain scan nails accused rapist.

I can't tell at all if this was an fMRI lie detector test or not. I'm working on that now. If so, I don't believe I've ever actually seen this technique used in an actual criminal case.

"The brain-mapping and polygraph lie detector tests conducted on rape accused Abhishek Kasliwal has come out in favour of the prosecution.

The Mumbai Police had conducted the tests on March 19 at the Central Forensic Science Laboratory in Bangalore."

It could also be that ERP equivalent - seems more likely actually.

Um, your headlike says the accused got "off the hook" but in fact he was convicted.

Were you able to find any more info about whether this was applied fMRI lie detection? I'm very interested as well.

I've been working on this but government organizations in india don't have the same web resources that the U.S. has. I've sent an email and am waiting. If I were to hazard a guess... If I had to hazard a guess after looking at a couple pics of the resources that the crime people have (or at least have pictures of) I wouldnt count on fMRI at all. A shame really. I want to see this happen.
