Scientific Literature - Ian McEwan Essay

This is an interesting essay by Ian McEwan about the tradition of general science writing. There are also a number of similar and interesting talks and articles by Malcolm Gladwell that I may post links to in the comments section or perhaps another post at some point.

"Thirty years ago, Richard Dawkins published his groundbreaking book The Selfish Gene. Ian McEwan argues that it is part of a long history of literary science writing, in which the pursuit of truth and the excitement of new ideas is conveyed in luminous prose "
